Lucy Shardalow Music

Lucy Shardalow is a Scottish singer-songwriter raised on the Moray Coast and now based in Edinburgh, creating contemporary indie-folk rooted in emotional honesty, introspection and a deep curiosity about what it means to be human.

Her debut EP, Sense of Soul, is a record that shouldn’t exist.

In 2021, while working full-time for the NHS, a convergence of life events and questions of identity as an identical twin culminated in a severe episode of psychosis. In the years that followed, as she navigated recovery alongside chronic physical illness, songwriting became a way to make sense of her experiences, reclaim her voice and find her way back to herself.

Moving through love and loss, identity and belonging, vulnerability and renewal, Sense of Soul is ultimately a celebration of self-discovery, human connection and the courage to live authentically. Produced by BBC award-winning Scottish singer-songwriter Adam Holmes and brought to life through a Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign, the EP will be released in November 2026.
